Hi! Thank you for taking the time to visit my website and learn more about my practice.
I attended California State University Hayward (now known as California State East Bay). I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a minor in Speech Communication. I continued my graduate studies at Cal State East Bay and earned a Master of Science in Counseling with a focus in Marriage, Family, Child Counseling. I received my license as a Marriage Family Therapist in 2006.
Treatment Services
I offer the following services for you and your family.
Individual Therapy
I serve individuals ages 12 and up. Individual therapy is one on one therapy between the client and the therapist. The focus is on improving or eliminating troublesome symptoms, improving your ability to cope with life's many situations better and creating an overall increased sense of well being.
Family therapy is therapy between two or more individuals with the focus on improving the relationships and the family system. The focus is on improving how the family functions, identifying dysfunctional patterns, behaviors and learning new tools to support better relationships and happiness within the family system.
Couples & Marriage Therapy
I provide therapy to couples seeking to improve the quality of their relationship, improve communication and navigate difficult situations that are impacting the relationship. Premarital counseling also provided.
Assessments & Evaluations
I provide assessments/evaluations that require a licensed mental health professional. An example would be special accommodations due to a mental health issue. I also provide consultations for diagnostic purposes. My ability to provide these services are on a case by case basis.
Educational Advocacy
I provide support to parents that need assistance with navigating the Special Education System regarding 504 plans or IEP's (Individual Educational Plans).
Custody & Mediation
I provide mediation services for child custody and co parenting needs. Services can be provided for Court Orders or voluntary participation.
